Happy Home!

Wow! So much has happened since our last post. God has continued to bless us immeasurably! After a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday with both sets of our parents, Clay and I enjoyed a terrific holiday season.

The day after Christmas we fell into a home that Jesus had saved just for us.
We had been looking for our first house for several months - mostly older homes with popcorn ceilings and paneling...needing lots of elbow grease. Over the holidays both sets of our parents encouraged us to raise our price range...coming from fiscally conservative families that means something! Raising our price range just a little opened up a whole new world of homes. We found a home in the close-out section of a DR Horton neighborhood that was offering GREAT incentives. In addition to upgrades we could not normally have afforded we received appliances, a fully landscaped yard, and closing costs nearly covered. We also had a rock star Realtor who negotiated our offer down until it was only about $1000 out of our original price range. Our monthly note is not much more than our rent! When I say that Jesus saved this house for us I am serious!

We have really sweet neighbors and the neighborhood is very near some of our good friends from church and school. Jesus even gave us built-in community down there!
